“Now that I think about it, I fell in love with Shalizeh's youth” I said. “I lost my youthfulness in my academic career, I was surrounded by researchers and professors much older than I was, and I adapted to the group. I gave up on a lot of what it means to be joyful, playful and young. and I miss it so much!”
“And you've unconsciously recognized in her the innocence you cast out when, in the past, you lied and cheated on your girlfriend” he verbalized the thought I had, but didn't dare to acknowledge. “Our innocence is our most precious gift, kid, because when we are innocent we feel connected to God. Shalizeh mirrored your lost innocence, and showed you what your heart yearned for. Shalizeh left without giving you the chance to heal the lost fragment of yourself you held so dear. This ripped your heart again. Now you fall in love more often than ever because you've given up and lost so many pieces of yourself, focused only on your work, and you recognized them in every one crossing your way. Your relationships are now like pieces of a broken mirror, showing you all the little fragments you have lost throughout life. You're not craving sex. You are hungry for who you were when you were young, innocent and whole.”
PS: WRITING MARATHON DAY 53
I am doing a 90-day Writing Marathon to raise $10,000 for water projects in developing countries.
100% of the money we raise (no fees, no salaries, no flyers, just water technologies)
go to bring clean water to people who now die because they do not have something we take for granted.
If you like my work, join me HERE. If you give up a cup of coffee, you give someone clean water for life.
Also, I am donating 10 percent of every sale made in 2017 of my online course Follow Your Dreams.
